1. Agreement to these terms

These Terms of Use govern your use of JPGCompressor.online. By using the site or the compression tool, you agree to these terms. If you do not agree, please do not use the site.

2. The service

JPGCompressor.online is a free online tool that compresses JPG, PNG and WebP images toward a target file size in kilobytes. Compression runs locally; when it finishes, the compressed JPEG is uploaded to our server so it can be served back to you for download.

  • Uploaded files are stored on our web server under a randomly generated 32-character file name.
  • Uploaded images are deleted by us every day. This is a manual daily cleanup, so an image is normally removed within about 24 hours, but we cannot guarantee an exact deletion time.
  • Our hosting provider's backups may include the uploads folder. Backup copies remain until the hosting backup rotation replaces them.
  • The site administrator can access uploaded files for support or abuse checks.
  • The server accepts compressed JPEG files only and rejects files larger than 10MB.
  • We do not guarantee that the service will always be available, error-free, or able to reach every requested target size.

3. Acceptable use

You agree to use the site only for lawful purposes. You must not:

  • Upload images that you do not have the right to use, or that infringe someone else's copyright, privacy or other rights.
  • Upload illegal, abusive, malicious or otherwise harmful content.
  • Attempt to disrupt, overload, probe or gain unauthorised access to the site, its server or other users' files.
  • Use automated requests in a way that places an unreasonable load on the service.

Please do not upload sensitive documents such as identity papers, medical records or financial documents. Uploaded files are stored temporarily and may also be present in hosting backups.

4. Your images and permission to process them

You keep ownership of the images you upload. By using the tool, you give us permission to process the compressed image and store it temporarily so that you can download it. We do not sell, rent or share your images with third parties for marketing. Our handling of uploaded files is described in more detail in our Privacy Policy.

5. No warranty

The service is provided "as is" and "as available". To the extent permitted by law, we make no warranties about the service, including warranties of accuracy, reliability or fitness for a particular purpose. Compression may reduce image quality, and the final file may be smaller than your target or, in rare cases, slightly above it if the target cannot be reached.

6. Limitation of liability

To the extent permitted by law, JPGCompressor.online is not liable for any indirect, incidental or consequential loss arising from your use of the site, including loss of data, loss of image quality, failed uploads, or a file being rejected by a third- party portal. You are responsible for keeping your own copies of original images.

7. Intellectual property

The site's design, text, logo and code are owned by JPGCompressor.online or used with permission. You may not copy or redistribute them without permission. This section does not affect your ownership of the images you upload.

8. Third-party services and links

The site uses third-party services such as Google Analytics and Google AdSense, and it may link to other websites. Those services and websites have their own terms and privacy policies. We are not responsible for their content or practices.

9. Changes to these terms

We may update these terms from time to time. The date at the top of this page shows when they were last changed. Continued use of the site after a change means you accept the updated terms.
