1. Introduction

This Privacy Policy explains how JPGCompressor.online ("we", "us", "our") handles information when you use https://jpgcompressor.online. Our site provides a free tool that compresses JPG, PNG and WebP images to a target size in KB. By using the site, you agree to the practices described below.

2. Images you upload

Compression runs locally before the compressed JPEG is uploaded to our server automatically (before you click Download) so the file can be served back to you. The original file you select is not uploaded.

  • Uploaded files are stored in a folder on our web server, not in a database.
  • Each file is stored under a randomly generated 32-character file name. The original file name is not kept.
  • We delete uploaded images every day. Because this deletion is performed manually by the site owner, an image is normally removed within about 24 hours of upload, but we cannot guarantee an exact deletion time.
  • Our hosting provider's backups may include the uploads folder. Those backup copies remain until the hosting backup rotation replaces them, and we cannot remove an individual file from an existing backup before then.
  • The site administrator can access uploaded files and may view them for support or abuse checks. We do not sell, rent, or share your images with third parties for marketing.
  • Please do not upload sensitive documents (identity papers, medical records, financial documents) that you do not want stored temporarily on our server and in our hosting backups.
  • If you want a file deleted earlier, email us at usenexqor@gmail.com with the time of upload and, if possible, the file link. We will remove it as soon as we can.

3. Information we collect

We try to collect as little as possible. The data that reaches us is:

  • Uploaded image files (the compressed JPEG), as described in section 2.
  • Technical details sent with the upload: the original file name, original size, compressed size and target size in KB. These fields are used only to process the request; they are not saved in a database.
  • Server logs kept by our hosting provider (Namecheap), which typically include your IP address, date and time, the requested URL and your browser's user agent. These logs are used for security and troubleshooting.
  • Google Analytics 4 (measurement ID G-1V5GQ97HZ2), which collects usage statistics such as pages visited, approximate location, device and browser type.
  • Google AdSense (publisher ID ca-pub-6076919145506675), which displays ads and may use cookies to personalise or measure advertising.

We do not ask for an account, and we do not collect names, addresses or payment details.

4. Cookies and third-party services

Our site itself does not set cookies for the compression tool. Third-party services used on the site may set cookies:

  • Google Analytics uses cookies to measure how the site is used.
  • Google AdSense uses cookies, including advertising cookies, to show and measure ads.

You can control or delete cookies through your browser settings. You can also manage personalised advertising through your Google account's ad settings, and you can install Google's Analytics opt-out browser add-on. Blocking cookies does not stop the compression tool from working.

5. Contact form

The form on our Contact Us page opens your email app with a pre-filled message; it does not submit data to our server. If you email us at usenexqor@gmail.com, we receive your email address, your name (if you include it) and your message, and we use them only to reply to you.

6. How long we keep data

  • Uploaded images: deleted manually every day, normally within about 24 hours. Backup copies follow the hosting provider's backup schedule.
  • Server logs: retained by the hosting provider according to its own log rotation policy.
  • Emails you send us: kept for as long as needed to handle your request, then deleted unless we need the record for a legal or abuse-related reason.
  • Analytics and advertising data: retained by Google according to Google's own retention settings.

7. Children's privacy

This site is not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If you believe a child has uploaded personal information, contact us and we will delete it.

8. Data security

We use HTTPS across the site, store uploaded files under random names, disable directory listing, block script execution in the uploads folder, and limit administrative access to the site owner. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, so please avoid uploading sensitive documents.

9. Third-party links

Our site may link to other websites. We are not responsible for their content or privacy practices, and we recommend reading their privacy policies.

10. Changes to this policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. The date at the top of this page shows when it was last changed, and the current version always applies to your use of the site.
